Futures Series

Postby Sim_Guy_PhilGM » Tue Dec 17, 2013 12:36 pm

Every season after the first sim in July the league goes on a short break. This break is called the Futures break and is usually a time owners try to make some deals for the second half of the season.

It is also the time when we sim a five game series which includes each league's best prospects. We start by posting up a player nomination thread which normally goes up a few sims before the break. All owners are encouraged to write in a few of their own prospects for consideration. There is no limit on how many you may nominate. Most teams pick their 5 best or so, while others seem to post up their entire organization. Either way is fine. However, it is important you post up at least one player because only those that nominate can win the banking point prize.

The prize of 200 BP goes to each owner that A) nominated a player and B) was on the winning side of the series.

Once the nomination deadline is met the rosters can be assembled. The excitement of that job falls to the two teams that met in the World Series the previous season. If for some reason one or both of the managers can't do the rosters they are in charge of finding a suitable replacement.

The managers would post up the rosters along with rotation and starting lineups vs R with DH and vs L with DH. The series is only played with a DH so the other two lineups are not used.

All teams must have a representitive in the series! There must be a five man rotation.

Once the series is complete and info from it posted a series MVP vote will go up. The team with the MVP gets 250K as a bonus.

*The series is simmed using a mirror image of our season but in no way effects our prospects or anything else for that matter. It is it's own separate file.
